I was born in raised in Southern California. In the search for finding myself the universe lead me to massage school. Never having received a massage myself at the time I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I attended Bryman College Massage Therapy program where I immediately fell in love with massage and found my life purpose. I graduated in 2004 with 720 hours but I didn’t stop there. I was drawn to deep tissue, sports and other therapeutic modalities. I worked with athletes and clients recovering from various types of injuries. Struggling from chronic pain myself I continued to learn as much as I could about sports medicine and other therapeutic techniques to bring into my practice. I went on to study health and sports nutrition at Irvine Valley College but then I realized I needed a change and to leave the hustle and bustle of So. Cal so I moved to the Iowa to enjoy the slower pace of the country life style of the Midwest. I became Nationally Certified in massage. In 2015 I found myself living here in Boise and fell in love with all that Idaho has to offer. I continue to take classes on any modalities I can to enhance my treatment for my clients. I have spent years trying to perfect my massage technique the best I can cause no two people are the same and everyone has different needs I do my best to stay well rounded in modalities for the best results. I recently received my Reiki Master training and introducing energy healing into my practice. When Im not massaging I enjoy being out in nature as much as possible, spending time with family friends and my small herd of animals.
Board Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork is the highest voluntary credential a massage therapist can obtain within the profession—it is above and beyond entry level state licensure. By becoming Board Certified, I represent a community of therapists who have gone above standard educational and work experience requirements with a dedicated and lifelong commit to continuing education. Furthermore, I live up to higher standards and ethics in alignment with The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
To achieve my Board Certification, I provided proof of a minimum of 750 hours of education, 250 hours of professional, hands-on work experience, passed a criminal background check, agreed to uphold NCBTMB’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, and passed the Board Certification Exam. By passing the BCETMB and meeting all requirements, I demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills, as well as a commitment to excellence. I wear the credentials BCTMB with pride for myself, my profession, and, most importantly, my clients.
